The MANX |100 is A unique single lap mountain bike ultra marathon around the fantastically beautiful Isle of Man.  Designed to be the hardest route around the island on a mountain bike it has garnered a reputation that lives up to its design. Around 65% of those who start the 100 mile event will not finish.  There are shorter 100km and 50km options open for those who want to build up to the original. Being the only event to hold the British Cycling Marathon MTB National Championship event for three consecutive years it’s clear that even the powers that be agree its an excellent event. With 15500 feet of climbing from its iconic TT grandstand start the going is never easy, no rider has yet to complete the event in less than 10 hours.  Mere mortals take 15.5 hours to get around, starting just after dawn and finishing at or just beyond dusk.  It seems impossible, until its done.  And then you need to come back to improve your time.

The MANX | RLT was designed on the same basis and has options from 250km down to 50km.  RLT stands for roads less travelled, and when you ride some of the roads you will understand why they aren’t used that often! Some gravel and forest roads and tracks in addition to keep the rider on their toes…  It's based on an audax or reliability trial, with a GPS trail and the “road” in front of you.  Doable with care on 23mm, certainly not recommended, 30mm upward is the sweet spot for the longer distances.  MTB down to road bikes and all options in between.
